Rooftop Solar for Housing Society
How Solar Works for Your Housing Society
In an apartment building, the common-area electricity bill — lifts, water pumps, corridor and campus lighting — is paid by every member through maintenance. A rooftop solar system on the society terrace cuts that bill directly.
Under PM Surya Ghar, group housing societies and RWAs get ₹18,000 per kW for common facilities, up to 500 kW (about 3 kW per house). Bhanu helps with the general-body resolution, DISCOM application and subsidy paperwork.
Typical system size
10 – 100 kW
Sized to the common-area meter, up to about 3 kW per house for the subsidy.
What we check
- General-body resolution approving the project
- Terrace area and water-tank / lift-room shading
- Common-area meter consumption and sanctioned load
- Structural safety of the terrace
